5973A LAN ENHANCEMENT PACKAGE
The 5973 MSD is the industry standard for Mass Spectrometry, but prior to 2001, these systems communicated using the slow, antiquated, General Purpose Interface Bus (GPIB). Until now, the only way to update your MSD system was expensive and time consuming.

Sievers 355 SCD Detector (Sulfur Chemiluminescence Detector)
The Sievers 355 Sulfur Chemiluminescence Detector (SCD) is the most sensitive and selective chromatographic sulfur detector available for the analysis of sulfur compounds. The SCD sulfur analyzer utilizes a Dual Plasma Burner to achieve high temperature combustion of sulfur containing compounds to form sulfur monoxide (SO). A photomultiplier tube detects the light produced by the chemiluminescent reaction of SO with ozone. This results in a linear and equimolar response to the sulfur compounds without interference from most sample matrices. Since measuring trace levels of sulfur compounds is of great importance to a number of industries, the SCD has become an important analytical tool for detecting sulfur, problem solving and monitoring product quality.

Sievers 255 NCD Detector (Nitrogen Chemiluminescence Detector)
The Sievers® 255 Nitrogen Chemiluminescence Detector (NCD) builds on GE Analytical Instruments expertise in chemiluminescence detection technology. The NCD is a nitrogen specific detector that produces a linear and equimolar response to nitrogen compounds. This is accomplished by using a stainless steel burner to achieve high temperature combustion of nitrogen containing compounds to form nitric oxide (NO). A photomultiplier tube detects the light produced by the subsequent chemiluminescent reaction of NO with ozone. Because of the specificity of the reaction, complex sample matrices can be analyzed with little or no interference.
